  • 1.  Cryoablation versus RF ablation

    Posted 05-09-2021 04:08
    Hello everyone,
This is my second post in this forum. I have an asymptomatic AFIB and did not know what to decide between undergoing ablation or not. Thanks again to all of you who responded to my post.
Meanwhile at my last meeting the cardiologist explained that recent and very important studies clearly indicate that living with AFIB causes heart damage.
So now I have another question. Cryoablation or RF ablation ?

    What I have read:

    The results are equally good.
RF ablation is done more often.

I would choose the one that my cardiologist is most comfortable with and has the most confidence in.

    My ablations were RF.

Best wishes in whatever you choose.

Thank you again. I think you are right and will follow your advice to let my cardiologist to decide.
