Hello. I am wondering if anyone is a heart transplant recipient and is willing to share their experience with recovery.

I didn't have a transplant but when I was doing my research to determine whether I wanted to go that path I found that a great resource for information is the transplant team. They can link you up with patients who've benn through it and will provide a lot of valuable information.

Just use care to not mention any negative thoughts or hesitation. The shortage of donors means they will look for reasons to eliminate you from the list. Good luck

Thanks for the post but it is not that easy. Because of HIPPA, they cannot share my info with anyone nor can they share my others' with me.

    Hello Merrill,
My name is Rhonda and I had a heart transplant on May 1st, 2017. The heart transplant saved my life. No it wasn't an easy journey but I get to spend one more day with my husband, with my daughter and my family. To hear their voice to hug them. So to me it was worth all the struggles and waiting. What kind of information were you looking for? I am will ing to answer whatever you would like to ask. I also an getting to meet my donor's mother for the first time this coming Valentines day in Nashville so I could not be more blessed. :)
    KInd Regards,
    Rhonda Lucas
