    I had my heart transplant on Oct.19,2010. I’m doing very great. I was on the heart transplant list for 6 years before that, but got a LVAD 3 mo. before I got the transplant . Now I’m doing visiting patients at LGH in Lynchburg Va. “It’s Great to be Alive and Help Others”. I enjoy my patients very much. I get so much out of helping them and see them get so much out of what thy need to get through the heard times thy have. Ether before surgery, family and after surgery . We need more visitors to help out. You would not believe what you get out of helping them. I have a big family history of heart failure, and going through research with NIH. I’ll be glad to talk with any one who would need any help or just to talk. Thank you, Laurel Dodgion
