I finally started Cardiac Rehab last Friday. At my first session, they told me that I have a T-Wave abnormality. I asked for more information about it, but they really poo-pooed it.....just said it was no big deal, that 40-50% of their patients had it, and we were "going to work on it" in rehab. They also told me that it had shown up in my previous EKGs....which was news to me because no one has ever mentioned it to me, this was the first I had even heard of T-Waves.
I've tried doing some research into T-waves, but it's all medical mumbo-jumbo that doesn't make much sense. Apparently it can be caused by just about anything....anxiety, drinking hot or cold beverages, position changes, etc.....but since having my heart attack has made me more nervous than normal, I'd really like to know if this is anything I need to worry about. Anyone have any info on this??
