Hi everyone!

I just wanted to apologize for my absence and any of the messages that were left unanswered recently. I’ve had an extremely busy July and had knee surgery last week, which put me really behind!

On the exciting news front: our educational conference went great and I will have lots of new information to share in the coming weeks.

Anyways, I just wanted to say hi, and let you know I’m back!

I've also been MIA. Sometimes life just takes over and there's nothing we can do. My sister was diagnosed with Liver Cancer sixteen months ago. Our life has been a whirlwind since that time.  Two weeks ago she received her new Liver. So far her recovery has been great. Well above the doctors expectations. 
My goal is to jump back into MH with both feet. Because I'm on the Board for Chapter 16 I've had to remain active as much as I could. My commitment to my sister has affected my Hospital Visiting but in a couple of weeks I will be able to get active again since the visiting is my favorite part of MH. 
My husband and I missed the Conference in San Antonio. We knew we were missing a great time after attending Nashville last year. Thankfully we have a wonderful supportive Chapter that has kept me encouraged. 
Laurel, I hope you can see this thread. It sounds like you're facing quite a challenge with your surgery. I had By Pass  five years ago and my Cardiologist encouraged me to join MH. I pray you will receive that type of encouragement. I also had a Valve repair. 
Andrea, so thankful you sent me a message. Sometimes we just need a little jump start❤️I'm going to try to communicate more❤️

Hi Judy, 

I'm so sorry for the journey your sister is traveling. :( So many people are struggling and just know you are not alone. Make sure that you take care of yourself too. (I say that as I struggle with self care). It's so important to make sure that you are also being taken care of. A kick start is sometimes needed for all of us. :)

I get my stitches out on Friday and for the most part I am back to myself. I'm still hobbling around a bit, but at least I have been able to recover fairly quick. With 3 kids and a house to run, there wasn't much time for "taking it easy". It's back to school prep time around here now, which is busy but exciting!
