I everyone.  My name is Ira and this is my first post.  I had emergency quintuple bypass surgery on February 13, 2018 after what I was told was a mild heart attack, and then spent the next 13 days intubated and sedated after contracting bacterial pneumonia and c diff.  When I entered inpatient rehab on March 5, 2018, I was so weak that I couldn't even sign my name to the rehab intake form.  After three weeks at inpatient rehab, another six weeks at outpatient rehab and my own workouts at the gym and on a walking program, I am now back to work and rapidly regaining my strength.  I feel so blessed to be alive and want to thank all the people who worked so hard to save my life.  I feel I can best do that by helping and sharing my experiences with other survivors.
