    My husband 6 months post op of CABG x5 . Hi hands are swollen and painful ,was wondering if any one else has had this problem and how you handled it  .

    He should call his doctor for that.  Has he had a weight gain?

    Possibly allergic to medication or a combination. I never had a problem before, but developed an allergy to aspirin (!) after my CABG(4x).

    He has seen several different Dr.s from PCP to Cardio and no one seems to know ,has had neck area MRI with nothing showing 
    Is going to start cardio rehab this week was held up because of virus ,did have in home therapy for a while .
    Was hoping someone may have had same problem and could tell me what they found out .Thanks for suggestions

    Hi Gail. Your husband maybe using his hands too much. I remember getting exhausted using my hands and arms doing chores. Even when I worship at church was hard. Try to stop lifting his arms above his head for a while. That seemed to help me. I'm not a doctor so this is advise from my own experience. I hope this can ease some of his discomfort. Hang in there!
