    Hi,
I have had CABG surgery in2008 and left with scars for the rest of my life. The top scar is butterfly shaped and is still sensitive to rub or touch.
Have had steroid injection by a dermatologist and also applied various creams but to no avail.
Anyone else out there has a similar complaint, please share with me how you are handling it.

    Hello Tanveer,
I had my CABG March 24 2015 and within months it began to keyloid up. I do not know if you have the same condition. It became very sensitive and itchy. Later it began to get painful and raw. It was always becoming red and just became a pain in the butt.
I finally talked to my cardiologist about it and her referred me to a plastic surgeon for a scar revision. I was told the revision does not always work, but after two years of pain and irratation I sait go ahead.
My healed nicely with the exception of 1/2 inch in the center that bothers me only moderately now. I can live with that and the itching and redness are gone. This may not work for you but it is worth discussing with you provider about.
I hope it works out for you.

    Hi,
    Welcome to the group.

I have the same problem. My scar is shaped like a "T" and is still very sensitive some 50 plus years later.

If you find something, please share.

    Thanks,
    Annette
