    Hi,
I had my CABG in 2008, Triple Bypass, and I have been pretty good
since then, getting regular checkups including stress test every other
year and echo cardiogram.. Have been doing regular exercises three to
four times a week including 30 minutes brisk walking.
A couple of times a year I feel pain in the back, pretty much in the
center and at times it travels up and down and sideways, has no effect
in the front part of the chest or difficulty in breathing. I was
wondering if other people feel that way also, if so what they do to
    fix it ?

    Hello Tanveer,
I have had back pain on and off since my CABG in 2017. My cardiologist has stated my heart is doing fine and I have no worries there. So I went to my Chiropractor and had several visits with him and it took care of the back pain.
If your Cardiologist sees nothing wrong with your heart and you have no problem with you Sternum I suggest you try a Chiropractor. I continue to see mine a couple of times a year now and it really takes care of back pain.

    Richard,
Thank you for your reply, I will consider on your tip. One more question, did you feel that in different areas or at one place only?

My own back pain story, while not directly on point, may be relevant. I had a protruding disc at L4-L5 with pain radiating down both legs so that I could not jog two steps. My GP prescribed physical therapy. I would do the stretches prescribed by the therapist in my health club locker room where other back pain sufferers would recognize what I was doing. Each would then tell me their story. Each had tried modality after modality until they found the miracle cure. But each miracle was different. It was PT or chiropractic or Feltonkraus massage or acupuncture or acupressure or yoga. Studies confirm that all passive modalities are about equally effective. In six months symptoms will subside. Once you've had a back problem you are subject to more. Try not to overdo it, and if you have pain, take twice as many over the counter pain meds as the bottle says.

                  Good luck.

    Hi Tanveer
I had a triple bypass in January 2016 and since then I have what feels like a pulling or a knot in my chest. Its annoying and my cardiologist says it’s something I have to live with since all the tests he prescribe were negative.I recently tried acupuncture which didn’t help.Thank God I’m still alive responding to your email.Hope you feel better

    Friend,
Thank you for your email. I guess there are mysteries leftovers in our bodies after these procedures which neither the surgeons nor the cardiologists have answers for. It is left for us to experience and share with each other to comfort.
Once again, thanks for your input.
