    HI there my name is Shannon and I would love to be able to meet others or join any events to allow me to meet others and mingle. I'm just not sure how to find any events going on? I am 41 with Bicuspid aortic valve and ascending aortic aneurysm and clotting disorder called factor v Leiden. I have autoimmune disorders as well as osteoarthritis and live in a lot of pain move a bit slower then people my age. It can be challenging because I have a lot of struggles doing basic things. I have the lord in my life as I needed to become closer to him for the support of loosing a lot of my family from a different hereditary disease that is fatal. Most of my family has inherited this disease it is called Gerstmann Straussler Scheincker. I'm very thankful I did not get that genetic condition. I do live with a different genetic condition which is why I was born with a BAV. I am very thankful for this Mended Hearts Group and I have been trying to learn how to use it.     Do take blood thinners, I have that same gene the factor v leiden and I take xarelto.

    Im sorry I am just now seeing this message from you. So you take Xarelto, I did take that for 7 months. Did something provoke you clotting which made you be on Xarelto? I had gum graft surgery and I was on birth control pills which made me clot. So since it was provoke they said I only need to take blood thinners for 7 months. I do worry about open heart surgery when that is needed and having this clotting disorder. Do you know much about open heart and FVL?
