After 4 years of going thru heart issues, I found you guys through requesting support from my doctor, and asking if there was such a group. I was not visited in the hospital during my any of my procedures because I went to Cleveland Clinic Florida for some reason they refuse to host Mended Hearts at that hospital. Since then I have left their facility and have sought out other hospitals. In seeking other care at other hospitals I learned that Mended Hearts is not something shared regularly by echo techs, nurses or even doctors unless asked. Some were not even aware that this group even existed.
So, in efforts to create awareness, and out of sheer frustration I have decided to assist the Southern Region of Florida (Marvin Keyser) with creating a DIGITAL presence. I learned that there simply isn't a place where anyone can go and find a meeting. What better place to create awareness then social media right?
My background is in marketing and in order to reach the masses and the younger patients, I have created events and banners for monthly meetings for the local hospital chapters near me. I have noticed that not all the chapters even have a Facebook page. So I am offering to help anyone who wants to create a page and add their monthly meetings to our Mended Hearts Southern Region Page.
I am attaching a link to the Southern Region Page for you to see. I created the monthly meeting images. I would be happy to list your monthly meetings on our page and send you a graphic for your Facebook page if you wish.
We have seen a significant increase in traffic on this page since we have added the monthly meetings. Since this is a new development we are hoping to witness more attendees. Regardless, there is a larger awareness of the existence of Mended Hearts.
