I don't know if my story will be of any use to you, but I've had a similar experience.
I had a mitral valve repair in 2011 (following some other stuff) and a difibrilator in 2013. My cardiologist heard regurgitation from the valve in 2018 and I developed afib (or aflutter) a couple months later. Neither seemed significant by itself but in combination and given my history, she became concerned, even though I have been asymptomatic and exercising at the same level and frequency all along. She put me on Elaquist for the afib and tried to do stick a tube down my throat for a picture of what was going on, but the passageway was too narrow, probably due to scar tissue. So I just had an echo-cardiogram, at which the tech volunteered that my mitral valve was working fine, and a cardio-version to get my heart in rhythm. I see my doc in nine days for her assessment and to see if the heart has stayed in rhythm. If not, an ablation may be next. But meanwhile I feel fine.

I would like to connect with those who have both a Mitral Valve Repair and has atrial tachycardia. I am wondering if I am the only one struggling with this particular combo?
How are you managing?
Where you diagnosed with Mitral Valve Regurge and then all of a sudden develop Afib?
Have you had any other procedures after you have your valve repair?
Has your problems gone away?
