At the age of 49, in September 2010, I was diagnosed with prostrate cancer, had a prostatectomy and am cancer free.  Just after my 52nd birthday in January 2013, with over 90% blockage of five arteries to my heart, I experienced a quintuple by-pass.  Between 2013 and 2018, I was hospitalized multiple times for bowel obstructions because my intestine was attached to an internal gauze from a previous surgery- I was cured via surgery .  In November 2019 I got my first stent in one artery and in February 2020 I got my second and third stents in another artery.  In May of this year I was diagnosed with diverticulitis.  On August 3, 2020 I experienced my first VTAC, ventricular tachycardia, from which I was saved by the nurses at the cardiac rehab facility using a defibulator bringing me back to life after my pulse stopped.  I experienced multiple spiritual conversations with my guardian angels guiding me to attend cardiac rehabilitation at a different time, 2:00 pm versus my normal time of 11:00 am.  A pace-maker and defibulator were installed in my left shoulder on August 5.  I experienced two additional VTAC events on August 22, one at home and a second in the emergency room from which I have PTSD from being saved by my defibulator. A heart ablation was performed on August 25.

After my February 2020 stents I was very angry with all my medical issues.  Then, I experienced multiple spiritual events leading up to and after the August 3 VTAC informing me that I would live.  I know that on August 3, I was given the winning ticket to the lottery of life and am forever grateful. I thank all of my friends, family and others who have said prayers or sent me positive thoughts.  I am also very thankful that after all these events my heart is healthy, and am working to get back to a normal life.

I know that my healing process is a lifelong process which is why I joined Mended Hearts.  I have read some of the messages and wish that each of you could experience the peace that I experienced during my spiritual events.  Whatever your challenges are, I wish each of you a spiritual, healthy and happy life.

Welcome home, Randy, because we all are home together on this website and as part of this universe.  When I had emergency quintuple bypass surgery in early 2018 after a heart attack, followed by a two week medically induced coma, I already was at peace, through prior spiritual awakening.  During my coma and after I physically awoke, I had further spiritual experiences that deepened my feeling of peace and left me with a profound sense of gratitude toward for everything I had experienced, for the love of my wife and daughter, for my friends, and for all my doctors, nurses and health care workers who had saved my life.

That feeling of peace and gratitude remains with me today, along with a deep loving awareness, as the core of my existence, no matter what subsequent difficulties life has thrown at me.  I am thankful and feel extremely fortunate to have experienced everything, the beautiful and the not so beautiful, and I accept it all.  And I am especially thankful to the members of Mended Hearts, from whom I learn something new every day.

    Peace, brother,

    Ira

Thanks for sharing, Randy. After living my entire life being very physically fit, my health started declining at 49, as well, with my first heart attack. Have had numerous health issues since then, mostly heart related, including triple bypass last year and have been near death on several occasions. It was my own spirituality that has helped me to not fear death and to believe that I, too, was spared not by chance but by Divine Intervention. Glad to hear your doing better.
