Agnes, yes! My wife just spent 14 days in ICU with Covid. I called 911 when she was suffering with Covid at home. When she got to ER she was diagnosed with pneumonia and Afib. We were told by nurses that Afib is common side effect of Covid.

I have been in AFIB since my aortic valve was replaced in Dec 2015. I never tried cardioversion or ablation because I have other health issues. My AFIB is kept in check with Atenolol(50mg/day) I can't tell I have AFIB unless I feel my pulse or see it on an EKG.
I had the 2 shot Moderna vax in Feb and March. I didn't have any reaction other than sore arm and general fatigue the day after the first shot and no issues after the second shot.

I have had PSVT for about 10 years and received my covid vaccine in April and also my booster with no side effects relating to my PSVT.

I think there are more stories about this coming out related to the covid vaccine https://www.nbcnews.com/health/health-news/evidence-grows-stronger-covid-vaccine-link-heart-issue-cdc-says-n1270339

That article is a built old now, but I've seen more and more reports and more and more noise being made about the vaccine impacting heart function.

I had myocarditis a few years ago (most likely from covid before people really knew it was here) and decided to skip the vaccine as I have heard anecdotal stories about people who had covid, had heart reactions, then got the vaccine and had even grater heart problems. One lady had to get a defibrillator implanted. Some of the stories have made me wonder if a home AED like the Philips Heartstart Onsite home AED or general AED machine may not be such a bad idea.

The articles I've read overwhelmingly state that the risk of myocarditis from mRNA vaccines is rare, that the risk is greatest for teenaged boys and young men in their 20's, that the severity of mRNA induced myocarditis is mild (and more uncommon) compared to myocarditis caused by the Covid infection and that these rare cases are readily reversed.  As a 71 year old heart attack and quintuple bypass survivor, I'm not at all concerned with this minuscule risk to me from the vaccine, compared to the far greater risk of contracting a serious case of Covid give my comorbidities (coronary artery disease, hypertension, borderline high blood sugar, age).

I suspect that my chances of being hit and killed by a car crossing the street, or being shot dead when I'm out in NYC going to dinner with my wife, are far greater than my risk of getting mRNA vaccine induced myocarditis.  Life is uncertain and none of us know when we're going to die or from what cause, so I'll just play the odds the way I've done my whole life, knowing and accepting that, one of these days, the next bullet will have my name on it.  As Shakespeare said "By my troth I care not, man owes God a death…he who dies this year is quit for the next."

There are too many variables in the decisions to be vaccinated or not. This forum is not a place to get medical advice: its best to consult your cardiologist and internist to decide what to do.
My doctors encouraged my Husband and me to get the shots as soon as they were available.

I firmly believe the vaccine saved my life when I got Covid. I wouldn't want to have found out what Covid could have done to me if I wasn't vaccinated

I am a CHD patient with TET and I have three children. My oldest is in her second year of Nursing school. She was required by the medical facilities within our area to receive the vaccination to continue her schooling. She was consistent in giving plasma however since the vaccination she has been denied giving plasma due to increased BPM anywhere from 104 to 127 within the last year. She went to the physician and they prescribed an anxiety med but periodically still is denied giving plasma. I often wonder if the statistics are even updated or registered at all with symptoms after these vaccinations. It's been a whirlwind of stress the last couple years as my middle child had HCM and open heart surgery last year. She is also beginning her first year of college and was required to get vaccinated. I hope she is free from any side affects in the future. Hang in there as AFIB isn't fun to go through but neither is VT as I have been shocked several times with those episodes many years ago.
