Birthday donations. During the month of February, a pop up on my email offered a place to donate for my birthday to Mended Hearts. It also appeared on my son's. He and I both donated $ 200.00

    And I thought it would be mentioned in the Heart Beats magazine.  Did we get scammed?

    Thank you, and your son, for donations to Mended Hearts through Facebook Giving.  Yes, it is legit.  Donations made through Facebook Giving may be made by individuals in honor of birthdays, anniversaries, etc. to Mended Hearts and/or Mended Little Hearts.

    Your donation will go further by sending a check (or echeck) directly to Mended Hearts. There are both processing and credit card fees for Facebook Giving, etc sites.

    Hi, 

    Actually through Facebook Giving there are ZERO fees involved and it's a great way to get friends and family involved in donating. Mended Hearts and Mended Little Hearts have been fundraising on Facebook since mid February and we are so pleased with the amount of funds that we have been able to receive from this source. 

    It's a great way to double your donation, do a fundraiser and donate and then ask others to donate to your cause as well. 

    We are grateful for the funds regardless of how we receive them though.
