  • 1.  Can we do something?

    Hi everyone,

I'm in Oakland, California and you may have heard about a shooting that happened recently when an abusive husband killed his wife in her special needs classroom. One 8-year old boy was killed because he was standing behind his teacher. Turns out the boy had a rare genetic condition which involved him needing a heart surgery. I don't know if the family is a part of MLH but it seems to me if there's a way for us to reach out as a community and offer our condolences and support that would be really great. It's heartbreaking.

    Hi Aspen,

I heard this story and it's so tragic. My heart breaks for this family and the community. I don't know what we can do, but I'm open to suggestions. I don't think they were a MLH family, but that's doesn't mean we can't offer our support and condolences to them.
    I'll think on it.
