    Hi Everyone,
    My name is Lauren and I'm not really sure how this works so I'm going to lay it all out there! I am a new first time mama, and my daughter Eleanor is almost 6 months old. She was diagnosed with AVSD in utero at 18 weeks, and has her surgery scheduled in mid-June at Motts UofM.  Right now, she's growing and happy, you'd never know there's anything wrong with her heart except that she's small and sometimes sleepy. She is my whole world ❤ 
    I'm hoping to connect with some local pals, and wish you all the best!

    Hi Lauren!

    Welcome to the communities. My son, Trenton (He turned 8 this month) was born with an AVSD and had his surgical repair at 11 weeks old. I'm in Pittburgh but I'm always willing to share our journey and support you through the process. Trenton's surgery wa in June 09 and he did really well. He was on medications prior to his surgery and had to gain weight before they could operate, but overall he didn't have any major complications.
