Greetings all. I had posted a few times about my experiences with multiple heart caths and balloon dilatations, stents. (5 caths in less than 16 months for the same artery). I ended up having double by-pass surgery two weeks ago yesterday, Was in the hospital 3 days and I'm doing well at home. I know everything is very individualized, just wanted your opinions on whether or not I'm moving too fast or about right.
Last 5 days, I've worked up to walking the perimeter of our mobile home park sometimes twice a day, sometimes shorter walk in the evening instead of the full route. (2.5 to 3.25 miles a day for the past 5 days or so. I still get a little winded at times, but my pulse ox and pulse are still good, usually no more than 90 beats/min at the end of my walk and mid to upper 90's on pulse ox. I'm doing 1750-2000 ml on incentive spirometer now. I do rest quite a bit still. Most of the general aches are very manageable now, take 1GM Tylenol 2-3 times a days.
I must admit the first day I walked over 2 miles, I was kind of whipped the next day and didn't do as much. I just don't want to overdo it.
Any suggestions/comments/previous experiences welcome.
Thanks!

PS, also trying to connect with folks locally who have had cardiac surgeries. I can't find a specific chapter in this area, SW Florida. If anyone knows of a chapter here, or if you live in the area, please feel free to contact me.
