Hi everyone,
Does anyone have any experience with chronic pain in the sternotomy region and across the chest after open heart surgery? I'm coming up on 6 years after surgery and my pain has never gone away. Sometimes it feels muscular, sometimes I feel it in the bones, and sometimes it feels cardiac.
I've consulted multiple docs in every specialty you can think of and none have any answers for the cause of my pains. All they can do is treat it with painkillers. The pain can increase due to colder temperature and normal every day activities.
