  • 1.  OHS back in 3/2024. Seeing symptoms now.

Had OHS in 3/2024 for triple bypass.  Things were ok till last month.  Last month I woke up with Heart racing to almost 150/Sweating.  Cardiologist monitored for 2 weeks using Heart Monitor.  Then had a treadmill stress test with Nuclear Dye.  Some abnormalities but nothing critical I am told.  Still the occassional heart racing, uneasiness in chest area and dizzy/lightheadedness still there.  I live in the East Coast of USA, not sure if the cold weather is causing this.  Anyone else had similar issues almost 9 months after OHS?  I have a discussion scheduled with my Cardio next week but wanted to reach out to my peers here.  Thanks.

    Unknown,
Keep a record of dates, time of day and duration of episodes of your heart racing. This could be useful for you cardiologist to diagnose your condition and recommend treatment,

Hi there Occasionally my HR increases to 95-100 BPM, which my Kardia app picks up I sit and inhale x 4 sec and exhale x 8 sec which helps to jump start the parasympathetic nervous system, slowing my HR I live in the mountains of NC and find that somedays my shortness of breath is worse, especially if there is a storm coming in. I recently traveled to LI, NY and didn't feel any severe SOB, so perhaps living at a higher altitude in NC is partly responsible. Anyway I wish you luck and encourage you to try the breathing I mentioned when your HR is speeding up, hope it helps. Sounds like your Docs have ruled out A Fib, mine too, but I bought a Kardia Mobile on Amazon as suggested by my cardiologist to keep track of things. All the best, Mary
