A welcome from the president of Mended Hearts Chapter 12:
Hello! Aren’t you glad it is the end of June? No possibility of a freeze now to disrupt our lives. Now it is mosquitoes, heat and, drought. Ha Ha.
These first six months of 2021 seemed to have crawled by but are now beginning to move faster. The Covid virus is not the main subject of the news anymore, but vaccines are. Maybe I am a little out of touch but, were there any flu cases this last season?
We can now get back into our old routines of leaving the house and enjoying everything around us. I stopped wearing my mask at HEB and restaurants. Now it goes on only if I visit a hospital or clinic. It is nice to walk the neighborhood without feeling suspicious.
Maybe we can meet in person again in August. I have my fingers crossed.
I do believe it is essential for us to visit and encourage each other as fellow members monthly. Join this month’s meeting to get acquainted and share your stories, even if it is virtually. We will not have a business meeting. This assembly will be to say hello; how have you been? What is new in your life? You can join in as early as 6:00 pm.
Our meeting this month is on June 24th. We will be social distancing once again by having a virtual meeting using the Zoom program. I remind you that you may share this link with any guests you would like to invite.
