Celebrating 25 Years of Mended Hearts of Coachella Valley® Volunteering in the Coachella Valley

When:  Mar 2, 2026 from 12:00 to 14:00 (PT)

On Monday, March 2, 2026, Mended Hearts of Coachella Valley® proudly celebrated 25 years of life-affirming service to heart patients and their families throughout the Coachella Valley. The commemorative luncheon honored a quarter-century of compassionate volunteering and the enduring partnerships that have made this mission possible.

For 25 years, the chapter has worked hand in hand with leading healthcare institutions including Eisenhower Health and Desert Regional Medical Center, providing accredited hospital visitors who offer peer-to-peer support, encouragement, and hope to cardiac patients during some of their most vulnerable moments.

The program featured distinguished speakers who highlighted the powerful impact of volunteerism and collaboration in cardiac care:

  • Aadila Sabat-St. Clair, Director of Volunteer Services at Eisenhower Health

  • Carolyn Warner, Eisenhower Volunteer and Accredited Visitor with Mended Hearts of Coachella Valley

  • Bill Stark, Eisenhower Volunteer, Chapter President, and Accredited Visitor with Mended Hearts of Coachella Valley

  • Dr. Joseph W. Wilson, MD, Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgeon at Eisenhower Health

Each speaker reflected on the profound difference that compassionate, trained volunteers make in the healing journey—bridging clinical excellence with human connection.

The luncheon celebrated not only a milestone anniversary, but also the thousands of lives touched through hospital visits, patient education, caregiver support, and community outreach. As Mended Hearts of Coachella Valley® looks ahead to the next 25 years, its commitment remains steadfast: to inspire hope, foster recovery, and strengthen hearts across the community.
