Hello,
My fit 67-year-old husband had open-heart surgery 2 years ago, to repair a large aneurysm adjacent to his upper valve. Prior to the discovery of the aneurysm he began to experience unpleasant symptoms which still persist following the surgery, e.g., with any exertion, he experiences drenching sweats, nausea & burping (we refer to it as off-gassing), if he continues past the initial burping stage he will end up vomiting violently and will feel very unwell and fatigued. He has also felt dizziness and that he was about to faint. He usually feels drained the following day after one of these episodes. His cardiologist is at a loss to explain these unpleasant symptoms. His blood pressure is usually in the normal range and he wears a watch that tracks his heart rate.
He takes the following heart-related medication:
Cozar (Losartan) Heart Medication 100 MG Tabs (Once in AM)
Toprol (Metoprolol) Heart Medication 25 MG Tablet (Once in PM)
We were hoping that some Mended Hearts Community Members might recognize these symptoms and be able to offer us some insight.
Thanks,
Jane Leifester
