I am a 58 year old male. In 2022 I started waking up not being able to breath. I ended up in the ER and was diagnosed with atrial fibrillation, congestive heart failure and stage 3 kidney disease. I was a persistent Afib patient which means it was always irregular.Since then I have had 2 failed cardioversions and 1 catheter ablations. On August 11th I underwent a Robotic assisted epicardial ablation. I am a week in normal rhythm for the first time in 3 years. I have my first post op appointment on Friday. The pain for the first 2 days was terrible but now I barely have any.
