Chapter News and Update
A pillow stuffing will be held Thursday, October 17 at the home of Millie Henn at 6:30 p.m. Please come, enjoy socializing with other chapter members and help stuff and sew heart pillows for the heart surgery patients at Baylor Scott and White. The address is 4301 Spanish Oak Rd. Temple.
The election for 2020-2021 chapter officers will be held during the chapter meeting on October 24. Come, vote and show your support for our leadership.
The American Heart Association Heart Walk will be Saturday, November 9, 2019 at Confederate Park in Belton. Registration begins at 8 a.m. and walk starts at 9:00a.m. Mended Hearts will have a table and distribute information about Mended Hearts. If you are will to help at the table and hand out information, please let Millie Henn know. Her phone number is 254 773-1557.
Tracy and Sam Kaiser are hosting the annual Holiday Gathering at their home on December 14, 2019 beginning at 6:30 p.m. The address is 176 Maple Trail, Belton. Officers for 2020-2021 will be installed at the Holiday Gathering.
There is no regular chapter meeting in November due to Thanksgiving. The holiday gathering will take the place of a regular chapter meeting in December. Regular chapter meetings will resume on January 23, 2020.

Mended Hearts Chapter 12 September 26, 2019 Meeting Minutes
The business meeting called to order at 6: 50 p.m following the program on organ transplants. Lloyd Jeffries made the motion to approve the minutes and Harold Comstock seconded the motion, the motion carried. Letty Rucker gave The treasurer’s report. Beginning balance $ 2,927.42, ending balance $2,956.36. The hospital visits for 2019 through August were 827. Newsletter format-Microsoft Word sent as Pdf file. Visitor Re-certification will be October 9 at 2:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m. in room 148 (Beside the Brindley circles elevators). This training is mandatory (National MH requirement) for all
current accredited Visitors. Those that do not attend must make up this training by taking National MH course again. If you are not certified by the end of this year (2019) you will be dropped from the roles of Accredited Visitor. Our new Webmaster is Rick Whitney He gave instructions for using our webpage. To login you have to create your account. October vote for new Leadership and December will install new officers during our Christmas Party. The Christmas party will be at the Kaiser’s home. December 14, 2019 at 6:30 p.m. 176 Maple Trail, Belton. The door prize won by Dave Standen. Thank you to the Rucker’s for the refreshments. October refreshments will be Millie Henn and January Dave & Margie Standen. Pillow making will be at Millie Henn’s home October 17th at 6:30 p.m. The next meeting will be October 24, 2019. Meeting adjourned at 7:15 p.m.

The visiting team: (alphabetical) Our patient visits have increased since the summer vacations ended and our visitors have been busy.
The September visits equaled 82 which makes our YTD total 827.
The Re-Certification Training session was well received and much was learned by all.
