Hello All, I think I need practical guidance about distinguishing between anxiety effects and cardiac distress.  I had CABG and afib interventions a few years ago, and I seem to have developed a hyper vigilance, hypersensitivity and mistrust of my body.  I feel uncomfortable most of the time.  I need to find out if other people experience the kinds of mind-body anxiety and frequent panic episodes that a few times have gotten me in to medical testing just to see what if anything is going on.  I'm not all to sure about how to describe precisely and concretely what's bothering me.

    Hi there
I'm almost 2 years aortic valve replacement and sometimes my heart feels heavy. I find that if I sit down, imagine I'm in my happy place, then take my BP, HR, O2 levels, and use my Kardia Mobile, which lets me know that my heart is in a normal rhythm, it gives me peace of mind. I highly recommend Kardia mobile, which you can purchase on Amazon, especially if you had or are having issues with a fib. You can even have it set up so that an abnormal reading is sent to your cardiologist. I also practice meditation, which is so helpful in letting me watch all my crazy thoughts go by. Good luck
