  • 1.  Incliseran (Leqvio) and RepathaPr

    Does anyone have experience with taking Incliseran(Leqvio) injections for high LDL?  I had cabg in October 2025.  In about December or January I started taking Repatha injections but I stopped because I felt so bad-- very bad joint pain hurting all over, slightly flu like, felt feverish but no fever.  Those symptoms resolved after stopping so I am sure it was caused by the drug.  I am now taking Incliseran injections, --I just had the second injection a few weeks ago.  The second shot is taken 3 months after the first one and then only every 6 months.  After the first shot, I had severe joint pain and even had to walk with a cane in my small apartment.  It started resolving 2 to 2/12 weeks after the shot.  The same thing happened after the second shot and is much better now but I still do not feel right. Muscle cramps, joints sore, muscle soreness, and just feel very very tired.  sometimes an odd cough.  

    I am thinking about not taking it anymore.  I would be very interested to hear from others who have taken this drug.

    Hello All-- I am going to add something -- Has anyone taken a PSKC inhibitor to reduce LDL cholesterol?  Incliseran (Leqvio) is the one I am presently taking.  It lowered my LDL from 97 to 32.  I was and am still taking in addition Crestor 40 mg.  Before Leqvio I took repatha.  Both have caused bad jint pain and some other things but Leqvio not as bad as repatha.  It seems like someone on here would have experience with this kind of drug.  I would welcome your comments.  Thanks

    I also tried Repatha and had to stop after the second injection due to muscle tremors in my legs. My LDL only went down from 75 to 72 after two injections. I've been researching Leqvio and I plan to ask my cardiologist about it the next time I see him. My concern is that since it lasts so long in your system, you have to deal with the side effects for way longer compared to oral meds. I'm currently taking Rosuvastatin and Zetia, so I'm hoping for a lower LDL when I have my labs done next month (menopause caused an increase from 72 to 88 - so frustrating!).

    Sheri--The side effects from Leqvio have stopped now. The pain is gone today and I feel good.
    It has been 4 weeks since my 2d injection. The first 2 weeks after each shot I had bad joint pain and aches. After the second shot the pain settled in my knee (my good knee!!) but that has stopped now too. After two weeks each time it was resolving and now is gone. It lowered my LDL from 97 to 32. I do take Crestor 40 mg along with it which I have done for years.
    The lab giving the 2d shot told me to take Claritin non drowsy for 5-7 days after the shot. She said that what causes the pain is inflammation. I did not have the pain during the 5 days I took Claritin after the second shot. Then it started, was much better at the 2 week mark and now is gone.
    I had the second shot on 7-24. On 8-7 I could tell the pain was getting better and I made a note on my calendar that on 8-11 (18 days after the shot) I wrote that it was very much better, almost gone.
    Now, today, I feel so good I can say the effects are gone.
    I am going to continue taking it. My 3d shot will be 6 months after the 2d one.
