    Greetings,

    I first joined Mended Hearts back in 2015, a few weeks before my aortic valve replacement surgery. I was born with a bicuspid aortic valve, and I ended up having aortic insufficiency. I was 27 when I had my open heart surgery, and I'm 31 now. I have an On-X valve.

    I need to get more active in the community, so I'd figure I should come say hi to everyone. I usually work in IT, but I am taking a break to get my college degree. I'm not particularly sure what else to put in this introduction, but please don't hesitate to ask any questions!

    Hi Sean! Welcome! I'm new to the group and new to Mended Hearts in general. Glad to hear you're involved in the Mended Hearts community. Would love to get involved and give back, too. Any suggestions?
