Rai Sue and David,
The group is right here. Plenty of us are CABG patients with lifetimes of experience, although, Rai Sue, I suspect there aren't many younger women CABG patients. Still, don't overthink this. Just ask your questions and you'll be surprised how many of us old vet CABG patients, and others, will come out of the woodwork.
As for me, I'm an eight year survivor of a hear attack, emergency quintuple CABG, two week medically induced coma to combat ventilator pneumonia, inpatient and outpatient cardiac rehab patient where I learned to walk and feed myself again and then came back to being the workout psychotic gym rat I have been for 63 years nonstop (other than my 3 month recovery from CABG).
I'm 75 now and will be hitting the iron again in a few hours before preparing, as a still practicing lawyer, to represent my client in court tomorrow. The only limits are the ones we impose upon ourselves.
Ira

Hi David, I am new here and also looking for something like that. Particularly for CABG patients, or (particularly particularly) younger women who've been through this. But I am finding it difficult to figure out how to find a more specific community here, and do not see one based on diagnosis, demographic, or geographics. Does anyone more experienced at Mended Hearts have suggestions on how to use this resource? Thanks, Rai Sue

I am looking for a group meeting or a forum to ask questions and learn from others how to adjust to our new lives.
