I had TAVR on 19 February, ironically the same day Andrew Mountbatten Windsor was born and arrested. Something forced tired to my new valve. 😂 I'm still not sleeping well, and I take drugs for that. Xanax and ambian. I'm not sure what to do. If I take a swallow of nighttime cough syrup that helps,  it o still don't sleep through the night. I do need a shoulder replacement which isn't happening until the end of August. That contributes, but not significantly. Is anyone else having trouble getting a good nights sleep?

    Sarah.

I have had problems staying asleep.  Drugs never seem to give me the rest I need, although they seem to keep me less fidgety in my sleep; my deep sleep never truly comes, and I do not feel rested. What worked for me was to stop taking naps and put about 30 minutes of cardio workout every other day into my routine. Nothing crazy, just something to get the heart rate up to a safe level and keep it there for a bit.  I found that after about a week of that, my resting heart rate dropped, my heart rate while sleeping dropped, I felt better all around and my sleep improved.  I use a CPAP as well.
