    Hi all, I've a question for those who experienced a sternotomy.?? I'm now three months post cabg and have added upper body weight work to aerobics at cardiac rehab.?????? I've had the last post op visit and check for sternum integrity and was released.?? My pecs (more on left) started tingling (or what might be a #1 pain).?? Is this nerves recovering or over exercising or both???

    I recommend that you discuss this with your cardiologist before you continue weight training.

    Probability both. I agree that you should call cardiologist and discuss with doctor or nurse.

    Thanks for the replies.  The issue cleared over the two rest days of Saturday and Sunday and hasn't returned this week while continuing rehab.
