  • 1.  Aerotic thoracic aneurism

my name is Tim, I was diagnosed with a thoracic aortic aneurism in spring of 2017. I got a call from my cardiologist who said it was time to come in and discuss surgery because they noticed significant change from two years ago.

My cardiologist wasn't very specific on what I shouldn't do but said no grunting or dead lifting and limit myself to 50lbs. I've been under a great deal of stress these last two years regarding my Mother whom I took care of and got on Medicaid so she could have proper care.

i joined this forum because I'm scared. Recently lost my mother less then two months ago. Has anyone else had these procedure?

I am a 51yr old TOF patient. I had an aneurism that they found during a surgery to place a pulmonary valve. I am happy to say I worked hard during my rehab and continued to. I wanted my family to know I was ok. I trained for my first sprint triathlon. I finished, dead last but Finished about a year and half after surgery. My philosophy is to be ready for whatever they need to do. It might seem scary but you can handle it.
