A welcome from the president of Mended Hearts Chapter 12:
Hello! It is now late January 2021 and the weather is fantastic. We could not ask for a better winter so far. Forget about the snow, it was just a figment of our imagination.
It appears though, we will continue as last year but now with more strains of the Corona Viruses to contend with. Practicing “Social Distancing” and wearing masks are still the best prevention we have. Vaccines are being distributed but it is now waiting and see.
Most of you have a bad case of cabin fever and certainly would like to meet fellow members in person but the whole Covid-19 virus thing is still in charge of the situation. This month we will once again meet via a video chat (Zoom).
The year is full of new challenges for me. The greatest is the responsibilities of Assistant Region Director and growing our region membership. Bring some ideas to our meeting as to how we can increase our membership. What we offer is compassion and understanding to all heart patients and we want everyone to feel like a part of our greater family. Bring a guest!
This month we will again have a meeting using Zoom and like the last meeting in 2020, we will have a longer social time to visit with one another. I think it is very important for us to visit and encourage each other. Join the meeting early to get acquainted with others while waiting for the session to begin. You can join in as early as 6:00 pm.
Our meeting this month is on January 28th. We will be social distancing again by having a virtual meeting using the Zoom program. Please plan to attend at 6:00 pm for early check-in and visit with other members and guests. This reminds me again to say you may share this link with any guests you would like to invite.
The agenda is very straight forward.

- 6:30 pm Short Program - Summary of the National Meetings and training sessions.
- ~ 7:00 pm Business meeting
- ~ 7:30 pm Adjourn
Please plan on attending.
Stay healthy by practicing good habits of wearing a mask when in public places, wash your hands often and pay attention to social distancing. The Covid-19 virus is still a real threat and we “heart patients” must be careful.
