The articles I've read overwhelmingly state that the risk of myocarditis from mRNA vaccines is rare, that the risk is greatest for teenaged boys and young men in their 20's, that the severity of mRNA induced myocarditis is mild (and more uncommon) compared to myocarditis caused by the Covid infection and that these rare cases are readily reversed. As a 71 year old heart attack and quintuple bypass survivor, I'm not at all concerned with this minuscule risk to me from the vaccine, compared to the far greater risk of contracting a serious case of Covid give my comorbidities (coronary artery disease, hypertension, borderline high blood sugar, age).
I suspect that my chances of being hit and killed by a car crossing the street, or being shot dead when I'm out in NYC going to dinner with my wife, are far greater than my risk of getting mRNA vaccine induced myocarditis. Life is uncertain and none of us know when we're going to die or from what cause, so I'll just play the odds the way I've done my whole life, knowing and accepting that, one of these days, the next bullet will have my name on it. As Shakespeare said "By my troth I care not, man owes God a death…he who dies this year is quit for the next."

I think there are more stories about this coming out related to the covid vaccine https://www.nbcnews.com/health/health-news/evidence-grows-stronger-covid-vaccine-link-heart-issue-cdc-says-n1270339
That article is a built old now, but I've seen more and more reports and more and more noise being made about the vaccine impacting heart function.
I had myocarditis a few years ago (most likely from covid before people really knew it was here) and decided to skip the vaccine as I have heard anecdotal stories about people who had covid, had heart reactions, then got the vaccine and had even grater heart problems. One lady had to get a defibrillator implanted. Some of the stories have made me wonder if a home AED like the Philips Heartstart Onsite home AED or general AED machine may not be such a bad idea.
