I'm not a doctor, but I'll share what I know. Yes, I suffer SVT and take Plavix plus aspirin to prevent clots, however the "thiners" are not for SVT. Supraventricular Tachycardia is a benign rhythm and doctors do not feel it causes an increased risk. It's just annoying to those of us who have it.
In my case the Plavix aspirin routine is for Atrial Fibrillation as well as a CRT-D (defibrillator). So if you have other heart issues the doctor may prescribe a thinner primarily to reduce the risk of clots. Hope this helps
