My name is Katherine T. Retek, and I’m 22 years old. I serve as the Administrative Assistant for The Mended Hearts, Inc., and I’m eager to expand my involvement by participating in our discussion groups.
Cardiovascular health is a topic close to my heart—both personally and within my family. I have a long-standing family history of cardiovascular disease, and in November of last year, I was diagnosed with high cholesterol and elevated LDL levels. Since then, I’ve been working closely with my general practitioner, scheduling regular check-ups every six months to monitor and manage my health.
I’m here to connect with others who have similar experiences and to learn about the strategies they've employed to maintain their health over time. I look forward to sharing insights, offering support, and learning from this community.
