Over the past 40 years I have dealt with many heart related issues due to an early diagnosis of Hypertrophic Cardio Myopathy. After 4 ICDs and multiple VT ablations I was listed as a candidate for a Heart Transplant in 2010. I received my Gift of Life and a second chance on May 9, 2011. I joined Mended Hearts in part to honor my donor and to give back to the many people who supported me over the years dealing with my heart problems. I hope in some small way my story and words of encouragement will be of assistance to the patients and families I speak to as I volunteer for Mended Hearts Chapter 198.
