I live in Milton, WV a little town about 10 minutes from Huntington, WV( home of the Marshall Thundering Herd) and about 30 min from Charleston, WV. I am seen in Morgantown, WV ( Home of the Mountaineers) as well as Columbus , Ohio. Are there any jobs ever posted for being an advocate of CHD, and how would I get notified about that? Is that even a job? I am just really wanting to do more to spread CHD awareness around my community. Please, can someone help? Thank you

I can't answer those questions but I wanted to let you know that you are not that far from me! We go to Pittsburgh occasionally when the weather is better. Not sure if you would ever want to meet in person but we love meeting new friends that can relate to what we are all going through! Good luck trying to find your answers. I know where I am there is no one ;o(

    Hi!
I am in a suburb of Pittsburgh! You should let me know if you are coming to Pittsburgh and maybe we can meet for coffee or lunch sometime. My son is seen at the Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh and we know the city well.

We used to live in Greensburg when my husband was stationed there for recruiting duty.
My oldest (19) is always out at the Sky Zone in Monroeville.
Our daughter has a deal with us that the cardiologist at Children's Pittsburgh caused.....
If she gets a clear bill after her end of March testing from her OHS and is cleared, we are taking her to Sky Zone with her siblings and some friends. The one near us in State College still hasn't opened yet....
Maybe if you are free then (would be April till we get past all her testing.)

I'm so burnt out on all the trips to Hopkins that I rescheduled some of the kids appointments in Pittsburgh till June! Would love to meet up!

We are actually in Grapeville (Which is a teeny town between Greensburg and Jeannette. We live in Hempfield school district. My son is going to a birthday party at SkyZone in Monroeville on Saturday! Such a small world.
YES! Let me know when you're in town in April and we can meet up. That sounds great.

We actually lived in Youngwood for about 2 months. (Nightmare of a rental and it has black mold and Children's told us to get out of the house .. long story but it was a nightmare on what happened next and I just cringe thinking of our old landlord (who owns a few businesses in Youngwood.) We then found a great house in Irwin and lovely landlords there. We were then transferred to California after that duty station...
Since his office was at the mall there and he had all different areas of schools it really didn't matter where we picked to live as long as it wasn't to far for him to get into work each day.
I try and hit up Dellallo's whenever we can coming back through! I miss shopping there!!! That probably sounds silly... It's the only thing I really miss other than our neighbors who we still send/receive Christmas cards from each year.
My friend growing up's father was from Greensburg and they would always stop at Dellallo's so when we found out that was his duty station I was thrilled (So was my friend's mom because it meant my parents or I could bring back all the things they loved from there!)
We stopped in back in September of last year and couldn't get over the remodel of the place and all the new things they added!

I'm sure the area has grown in all aspects since we were living out there!
Next week we have her check up.... She just brought up today about hitting up Sky Zone... I told her it wouldn't be till April at the earliest. She thought she would just get there the following weekend once cleared by the dr's! LOL
Does it smell? Is it really loud and hot in there? I'd ask my son but he'd tell me no because at 19 he doesn't notice those things! LOL

I love Delallos!! We shop there every Sunday. They have the best meats and cheeses. I love their anitipasta too.
The area is probably around the "same" lol. I've lived here for 15 years now and other than few new Walmart's it's really the same.
SkyZone isn't too bad. I think all kids play places are sketchy, but mostly because I think of germs all the time. But SkyZone doesn't smell and is clean.
It is Trentons favorite place to go. Hopefully we can meet up when you come to town!
Yuck about the apartment in Youngwood. There are some great places there, but also some not so great.
    Talk soon!
